MRF across Asia: Bali, Taiwan and Korea Prof Algis Vingrys from GLANCE Optical had a fantastic April representing Melbourne Rapid Fields online perimetry at conferences across Bali, Taiwan and Korea. At the Asia Pacific Council of Optometry Congress in Jeju, Korea, he presented on validating a modern visual field driving test using MRF technology, highlighting its portability, versatility and cost-effectiveness as a scalable visual field testing platform. |
Innovation meets clinical care: expanding glaucoma assessment capacity Mt Waverley Eye Surgeons has showcased how MRF can be integrated alongside the Humphrey Field Analyzer to expand testing capacity, reduce bottlenecks and improve clinic flow. With rapid testing performance similar to SITA-Faster and approximately 50% faster than traditional SITA-Standard, MRF is helping deliver patient-friendly, validated visual field testing while supporting more efficient glaucoma assessment. |
New publication: Moorfields Hospital home visual field monitoring with MRF A recent British Journal of Ophthalmology paper, “Fields from home: device-independent online perimetry with Melbourne Rapid Fields,” evaluated home-based visual field testing in 100 LiGHT trial participants using MRF on their own home computers. The study found home monitoring to be feasible and well accepted, with 4-monthly home testing achieving similar progression detection power to 6-monthly clinic testing. |
